Barcode and Madball showreview
Not that many showed up to this concert, and they didn't miss anything by staying home. The first band on stage was Barcode from Denmark, which I personally don't like that much. The problem I got with Barcode is probably their attitude, but that has nothing to do with how they play, and that was actually pretty good. They play dirty and aggressive hardcore, just like Blood For Blood. What sucked at this show was the atmosphere in the pit. People just stood with beers and cigarettes and tried to look so fucking hard. It was fucking ridiculous with with all those hardass looking dudes in the pit. Barcode did the best they could to get the crowd moving, but it didn't help that much. A lot of the people who showed up, just saw it as an excuse to get fucking drunk or wasted. Is that what hardcore is about? NO, so stay home for fuck sake or be positive, sober and jump around.
The finishing band was Madball and they are fucking great on stage. The leadsinger jumped around and the rest of the band played a really tight set. Even twice as many jumped around in the pit, but people was just fucking violent. It was probably the most selfish pit I have experienced at a show. People didn't give fuck about unity it was just about hitting the other kids. Fuck that, it sucks man. You are the ones who talk so much about unity, but what you did to that show was the fucking opposite. It had nothing to do with unity what you suckers did in the pit that evening. I have lost a lot of respect for some people. The only great thing was that some people tried to make a circle pit, but that didn't last so long so generally it all just sucked. Not that I want to be negative, but this is probably the worst hardcore show, I have ever been to.
I hope that the show with All Out War next month on "Rytmeposten" Odense, is better than this shit. Unite '99 www
